Click the [New] button on the tools ribbon, then the "New Project" dialogbox appears. On this dialogbox, you are asked to choose a audio file (must be MP3), and a LRM file. After both file names properly choosen, close the dialogbox by clicking its [OK] button. Now you have a new LRM project, what you need to do next is to add text to the new LRM project.

Bind Text Lines to Audio
Select the first text line on the Text Line List window, and click the [Play] button on the tools ribbon. At the moment the audio is reached the end of the line, press the [Return] key. As you press the [Return] key, LRM binds the audio and text line that has just been played, and automatically move forward to the next line. Repeat the same, until all text lines are binded.
Fine Tune the Bindings
After all text lines have been binded to audio slices, you may need to check to make sure that each line is cut at the right position. To do so, select a line and click the [Play] button. If its beginning position is not correct, you should select the previous line - this way you always adjust the ending position of a line. If the ending position is not correct, click the right mouse button on the audio ruler (progressbar) to change the endding position until as desired, and then click the [Bind] button of the [Audio] group. If you don't click [Bind] button, the changes will be discarded when you move to another line.
Use the Audio Ruler
The Audio Ruler (the progressbar) is for selecting an audio slice.
- Use mouse wheel to change the ruler's resolution;
- Use left mouse button to set the beginning postion of an audio slice;
- Use right mouse button to set the ending postion of an audio slice;
- Use Ctrl + left mouse button to play the audio at the clicked position.
Red Line Numbers
A read line number on the Text Line List window indicates that the line has a problem:
- The line is not properly binded with an audio slice.
To fix the problem, select an audio slice and then click the [Bind] button. - The line's ending position is not the next line's begining position.
This is may not be a problem - for example, you dont want some part of the audio appears when making Listen Right data file. To fix the problem, click the [Make Continuous] button.
