Office & Home - How to Use

OH has two program files, OHS.exe and OHC.exe. OHS.exe is for the home PC, and OHC.exe is for the office PC.

OHS.EXE

OHS.exe, the master program, should be put on the home PC (the PC that controls the file operation)

When OHS starts, it ask you to select a IP address and a port number. This is the address OHS.exe will wait for the office PC to connect with. Usually, a PC has at least 3 IP addresses. The first one is 127.0.0.1. This address is used for the PC talking to itself. The second is 0.0.0.0. It represents all the other IP addresses of the PC. The third is the PC's real IP address. It varies from PC to PC. If you run both OHS.exe and OHC.exe on the same PC for testing purpose, you can select 127.0.0.1. Otherwise you must select 0.0.0.0 or the real IP address. In most cases, you should set the port number to 80, since many office network firewalls block the other ports.

OHC.EXE

OHC.exe, the slave program, should be put on the office PC.

When you start OHC.exe, you must specify the real IP address used by OHS.exe. You can not set it to 127.0.0.1 or 0.0.0.0, because both are meaningful only to the PC itself. After clicking the [Start] button, OHC begins trying to connect to the home PC.

Operation

OHS.exe displays the folder and file names of the office PC in a similar way to Explorer. To send files to or get files from the office PC, right click the folder tree view or the file list view, and select related command on the menu.

Important

If not registered, file transferinging is limited to 3-5 times in each direction.
