What Clean FX Can Do

Clean FX overwrites files with random data and then delete the files.

Command Line Syntax

cleanfx [-s] [-cn] [-r] [-f] file-or-folder-name

• -s : Silent mode. If this parameter is not specified and the file-or-folder-name is a folder or a wildcard name, you will be prompted with "Are You Sure (Y/N)?".
• -cn : Where n is a number. This parameter controls how many times a file should be overwritten before being deleted. The default number is 1. If n is larger than 1, Clean FX will flush the overwritten file to disk before the next overwriting.
• -r : Don't remove the folder specified by file-or-folder-name. Clean sub-folders and files only.
• -f : Dont remove any folder. Clean files in the specified folder and its subfolders only.
• file-or-folder-name : File or folder to be cleaned. Can be a file name, a folder name, a wildcard name (for example, *.doc), or a Shell folder as pre-defined below:
  • +5 : My Documents Folder
  • +32 : The Internet Catch Folder
  • +33 : The Internet Cookies Folder
