CDI - Use CDI On Removable Media
CDI is a portable application.
It can run any removable media such as USB disks, CDs, or even floppy disks without installation.
This page describes how to use CDI on USB disks, removable hard disks,
or other removalbe media that works much like a local hard disk - except a little slower.
If your target media is CD,
you should read this page.
- Click the [Tools Button] and select the "Prepare Photo CD" command on the menu. See illustration.
This brings out the [Prepre Photo CD] dialogbox.
- On the [Prepre Photo CD] dialogbox:
- If your photos are all in one folder (this folder may have sub-folders),
select this folder.
- If your photos are scattered in different folders,
select the parent folder of them.
- Click the [OK] button.
- After closing the [Prepre Photo CD] dialogbox by clicking the [OK] button,
CDI will:
- Update thumbnails for the selected folder and its sub-folders.
- Create a Autorun file if you have checked the option -
This is usually unnecessary, because by default the Window system disables autorun feature for non-CD media.
- Copy the program file of CDI to the selected folder.
