CDI - How to Make Photo CD

• Click the [Tools Button] and select the "Prepare Photo CD" command on the menu. See illustration. This brings out the [Prepre Photo CD] dialogbox.
• On the [Prepre Photo CD] dialogbox, select the folder that will be the root folder of the photo CD and click the [OK] button.
• After closing the [Prepre Photo CD] dialogbox by clicking the [OK] button, CDI will:
  • Update thumbnails for the selected folder and its sub-folders.
  • Create a Autorun file if you have checked the option.
  • Copy the program file of CDI to the selected folder.
• Make the the CD with your CD burning application.

Tips

Understanding the following tips you can make photo CD in more flexible ways, without having to follow the steps described above.

• Each time you open a folder, CDI update thumbnails for the folder, but not its subfolders.
• The [Prepre Photo CD] dialogbox updates thumbnails for the selected folder and its sub-folders.
• Creating thumbnails on local hard disks is usually faster than on removable disks or network disks.
• If you want photo CD autorun, that is, CDI starts when the CD is inserted into drive, the CDI program file and the autorun file should be in the root folder of the CD.
