ACE --- Aural Comprehension Express

Introduction

ACE is a tool for enhancing students' aural comprehension ability when they are learing a new language.

• Listen: The students can listen to the recording in many diffrent ways. For example, listen to a sentence repeatedly or all the lessons one by one. ACE displays the texts in sync with the recording. Texts are displayed in different colors so as to attract the students's attention. See screenshot: English, Chinese
• Dictation: The students listen to the recording and type what they hear. A warning sound will be heard if they type a wrong letter. See screenshot
• ACE Files: Files used by ACE are created using a seperate program: ACEM. It sync sound recording with the texts. People who learn a foreign language by self-teaching would find that, the very process of syncing recording with text is a great way to improve their listening ability. See screenshot
