Rich Photos Kiosk

Rich Photos Kiosk is a customized project. The order came from a Canadian photo-printing company. They wanted a touch-screen program for Windows XP that could help their customers print photos themselves.

1. The Welcome Screen

You can click the picture to see it in full size.

The upper area of this screen is a "Help" window, which tells the user how to use this system. The content of the Help, as well as Helps on other screens can be replaced with a HTML file by the kiosk owner.

In the center of the lower area is large button titled "Load Pictures". Pressing this button, the program starts to scan pictures from all pluggable disks detected (flash disc, CD, etc).

2. Select Pictures

This window appears after "scanning pictures" is done.

  • [Load All]: The program will continue to the next screen.
  • [Select]: Another window appears which helps the user to select pictures from a list. Seee screenshot

After pictures loaded, the user is prompted to take his disc back. Seee screenshot

3. The Working Screen

This is the screen where the user processes his picutres. The loaded pitures are listed on the left, and the selected pictures (for printing or burning CD) are listed on the right.

The currently selected picture is displayed in the center area. The user can simply press the [Select] button to add the current picture to the selected list, or use the many function buttons around to edit the picture before selecting it.

Some function buttons display a second window. For example, the [Full Screen View/Edit] button displays this window

4. The Order Screen

This screen appears when the user presses the [Continue] button on the "Working Screen". On this screen, the user chooses the actual services provided by this program, including printing the pictures, burn the pictures to CD/DVD, etc.

5. The Bill Screen

This screen generates the bill. If the user press [Print Slip and Process Order], the selected pitures are sent to the printer and the CD/DVD starts burning if they have ordered it.
